Although
the Buddha image will be delivered to you in a perfect state, it is useful to note that a little care and consideration will help keep your statue in perfect condition.

Lacquer ware

Regular Care: Natural lacquer creates a remarkably durable waterproof finish that requires no special care and is easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Any type of mild soapy cleaner can remove stains from ordinary usage. Cleaning items with Windex (Window Cleaner) is recommended because it evaporates without leaving any spots, but a large quantity of ammonia based liquid can erode the surface. Never use any type of abrasive cleaner. I do not recommend putting lacquer statues in a dishwasher.

Woodcarvings
Regular Care: Wooden statues should be cleaned with a wood polish or furniture polish whenever they get that “not so fresh” look. Polishes improve the appearance of the finish and also help to preserve the wood. The frequency will depend on the character and density of the wood. Teak will benefit from a polish every 4-6 months while ebony wood may only need it once a year. An old toothbrush can be a useful tool for getting polish into finely carved folds and furrows.

Bronze
Regular Care: Bronze statues are extremely hardwearing and require little or no care. A bronze polish can be used to give the statue more shine, but this will take away some of the beauty of the statue.
